FAQ

What are the first steps to start with Camrose Quality Care Services?

Call or contact us! Our first step is to make an appointment to meet the client with their family or decision makers to have a better understanding what client is looking for and is expected from us.

What makes you different from other companies?

We understand. Our own personal experiences with family and loved ones have caused us to have very clear goals and standards. This will ensure that priority is given to client needs. As caregivers in Camrose, we provide the highest standard of compassionate, personalized care to those in need in the communities we serve.

Do you provide services for all age groups?

Yes we do, there are no age restrictions. Our home caregiver services are not limited to seniors and are available to anyone with disabilities, those recovering from surgery, failing to thrive alone in their homes and others.

Can you provide care in retirement homes, supportive living sites and hospitals?

Yes, our caregivers in Camrose can assist wherever the person calls home, whether it’s a house, apartment, retirement residence, or supportive living facility. We also collaborate closely with our community hospital and surrounding areas to provide services such as overnight sitting for short or longer stays.

Are there a minimum number of hours for service? Do you provide overnight/weekend/24/7 care?

We provide care up to 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. The minimum for a single visit is 2 continuous hours. On request, we may occasionally be able to provide a shorter shift but this is subject to availability. Our flexible scheduling options allow us to accommodate the needs of our clients and their families.

How quickly can services be provided?

Normally, we would expect to have service in place within 48 hours but will prioritize emergencies including accommodating same day requests if at all possible. We will always try to meet the client’s needs.

What happens if a caregiver gets injured while in my home?

Our staff are covered by workplace insurance in case of an accident or injury while working in a client’s home.

What qualifications do your caregivers have?

Our team are highly trained and experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to our clients. Our caregivers in Camrose undergo rigorous background checks and receive ongoing training to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of our clients.

How much does your service cost?

We offer personalized care and services tailored to each client’s needs and budget. To discuss pricing and payment options, please contact us to schedule a free consultation.

Can I change or cancel my scheduled services?

Yes, you can change or cancel your scheduled services by contacting us at least 12 hours prior to scheduled visit. We understand that circumstances may change, and we strive to accommodate our client’s needs to the best of our ability.

What is Self Managed Care (SMC) and Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI)?

Self Managed Care (SMC) and Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) are home support service models for individuals with long-term stable and predictable care needs. In SMC model, client/decision makers wish to hire their own employee or agency. In CDHCI model, client and their family hire their own care provider agency from a list pre-approved by Alberta Blue Cross.

How do I get started with Self Managed Care (SMC) or Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI)?

If you are already a Home Care client, reach out to your Home Care Case Manager. They will be able to help take next steps for these programs. If you are not a Home Care client, call the Continuing Care Access Line toll free number (1-855-371-4122) if you have questions or inquiries about accessing Home Care services in the community.

Can I hire Camrose Quality Care Services if I have Self Managed Care (SMC) or Client Directed Home Care (CDHCI) in place?

Yes. We are a certified “Provider” approved by Alberta Blue Cross for Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) and we are a private care agency that provides services to Alberta Health Services (AHS) Home Care clients utilizing Self Managed Care (SMC) Program.
